The Lost World Bestiary - Nigerolimax

There are some animals on the plateau which defy classification or reason, for a good while this was the fate of Nigerolimax gigas. This large flat invertebrate reaches about 1.4 meters long, and resembles a thick sheet of slimy leather. Though once guessed to be a Vendobiont by Challenger in his later years, it turned out to be an extremely large, amphibious slug. Though found in Lake Gladys they are also fairly common in marshes and rivers, being predators of other invertebrates as well small fish and carrion.
