The Lost Islands - Flittersnouter

Flittersnouters were ubiquitous over both main islands, and even on remote islets further to sea. These sparrow-sized creatures were active fliers, using 2 pairs of muscular lateral snouts as fast-flapping wings, the base of which had an array of enlarged nostrils which shunted air through at high speed, further aiding flight. They fed mainly on insects of various sizes, as well as small fish and lizards.
