Smaugtober - Frond Dragon

Frond Dragons are a flightless species no larger than a hen, only found in the dense jungles of Sulawesi. Their wing-fingers have come to resemble the green fronds of ferns or small palms, and are used entirely for camouflage. The animal walks with a swaying, jerky gait in search of insects and small vertebrates on the forest floor, stopping still and splaying its fronds if it senses any danger.
