Um, yay for transcending gender stereotypes. Yay for 80's cartoons. Yay for effeminacy in people who are otherwise male.

But one question...Are there bronies who havent seen or owned any of the original toys or shows? Because I had an original MLP when I was 4. What are the actual bronies' opinion on the originals??? I liked the original toys, and the theme tune, but never watched the show, and I prefered making friends with girls than bothering with the guys who hated me, sometimes. I admit, the show looks good in its new version, and I like horses.

Maybe I should just say this...

Bitch, you may be a Brony, but I'm a muthafucking Bronosaurus!

I really don't care for it. I saw a couple of episodes and saw some of the parodies online to see what it is about, but I kind of find it disturbing. One of the characters is a slut

Meant to say I find it disturbing that grown men like a show for little girls

Not only that, one character is a slut who gave birth to twins that one is a pegasus and the other a unicorn while both parents are regular horses. The show says it's recessive genes, but most people believe it's bullshit and that the mom is a slut. But one fan suggested a switchh at birth

I'm a brony... and I hated that original show. Still do. It's terrifying. The toys were pretty rad, because of the glitter and cutie marks, but their eyes always scared me. I still played with girls instead of boys, though.

I kind of was when I was that age, too. I guess that's just the way it is for the "different" kids.

I think most of us like the new one because it's way better than the original. It was endearing and if you were a kid or teen at the time those old ones might have been fun, but ugh these days everything about them is shudder-inducing. But myself, I just adore the story and world that has been created in the FIM series. I don't own any, but I love the show.

I used to own some that had gems for eyes. I think I gave them to my little sister. Haven't seen them anywhere lately.

I've heard of the original G1 ponies when I was younger and I even watched an episode of them with these evil flowers.

I had some MLP toys as a kid, I didn't like them nearly as much as the more realistic toys and I never watched the show. MLP was always just a 'girl's thing from the 80's' for me until the new show came out.

Cool, you answered my question :)

Plus, you're a horse fancier, horse fanciers are epic, IMHO. Except all the little yuppy girls who are spoilt and actually HAVE horses, because they break the hearts of all the other little girls who want horses.

! Nice one with the "I'm a muthafucking Bronosaurus!" remark.

But yeah, I liked the originals too, I thought they were nice and cute. Can't say I'm really a brony though, seeing as I'm in more of a sexually gray area :p. I like some of the new ponys because I can really relate with their personalities, like Fluttershy, Princess Luna, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle.

lol, well okay. That works with my attempts of shying away from gender stereotyping on either side.
