Size: 4 meters long, 700kg
Diet: Fish, mollusks, smaller mammals
Age: Eocene
Description: A primitive whale which has a trunk, some are found swimming near the coast of South Africa and Sri Lanka, they are reported to the ARC for bothering swimmers. It is not known when they came through the Eocene anomalies, and it is speculated that they have been naturalised in this time for many years.

With of the two way anomalies opening and closing all the time you would think that the evolution of life on Earth would be all over the place as future species colonize the past and past species the future etc

well, Nick cutter had his hypothesis that past myths were actually creature incursions, and that lazarus taxa like coelocanths or nautilus were too.

Right, Makaracetus! Totally forgot about that! Trunko as a Primeval creature was something that had bugged my mind a while ago, but I couldn´t come up with anything that wasn´t "weirdass future mammal thing".
