It's based partly on Dougal Dixon's "Vortex" which is essentially the same thing.

You know what? You should start posting stories about these creatures-- they have some really good potential for episodes!

That's a shame. Will you allow me to use your creatures in fanfictions I write?

That depends. My fan-art creatures, like the primeval ones, yes. My original creatures, no, because they belong to me. You also need to give me credit when you write about them.

Good, because I had an idea for a Primeval story involving several of your future and alternate-prehistory creatures. It's called "Dark Water, Cold Fire" and it involves the Bermuda Triangle.

Sorry it took me 2 months to reply. I haven't actually started that fanfic yet, mostly because I'm already working on another project, a novel. But I should have it up by November. Also, the name has changed: it's now "Dark of the Sea."

This is like that penginwhale thing from After Man (homage), yet with a hook to connect it to the Primeval storyline! Great!

Does it come to land to breed?

That's always the problem with giant penguins :-(

Emperor Penguins have a sort of simple pouch for their eggs. Given a few million years, it could evolve into a full-blown marsupial-style pouch. Maybe. It's a stretch.

I really like the idea with the guano. Would be something different from the usual "creatures hunt people down for food".
