How would an Ocelot evolve into this form? :Discombobulated:

ocelots can climb very well, so maybe only a small step to gliding.

True, it is very creative and shouldn't be taken that seriously..

There's a "Mortal Combat" joke in there somewhere...

This looks it might be plausible in reality. Have you considered the idea of a cat that uses flying squirrel-type of travel?

Cool! Reminds me of one of my flying dream where I had flaps of skin like a flying squirrel. I ended up landing in a mud puddle and had to be rescued by some steampunk goth guys.

oh cool, that sounds really interesting. I have flying dreams where I just spread my arms and soar, somehow making myself fly, it's not always reliable, and you can run out of puff. It started as just swimming through the air above the ground, but eventually I learnt to do it off cliffs and hills, and it got better :)

No goths in my dream, I was sexually harassed by a giant rabbit with a rubber glove on his head, in a dream once...

:nod:Anything involving giant rabbits is creepy. I'm not really a rabbit person, although I had a couple small bush bunnies as pets, the cat brought them home.

When I started dreaming about flying, I had wings on my back and I had to take a running leap from a high place such as a fence or building. It's kind of bothersome because these wings were like fourteen feet in length and needed a lot of room to maneuver. It's even more bothersome when you're trying to get away from something such as a monster or pack of dogs. Lately, I've been dreaming I either have four wings like a Microraptor, one on each of its forelegs and hind legs or something like a flying squirrel or a Colugo.

Those are really cool ideas :)

It's funny though, being such a zoology nerd myself, I had never thought of flying in a dream using any sort of logical method of propulsion, I just "swim" in air, as if there is less gravity, or the air is a different consistency...

I had a dream once that I was on a airborne floating island which had a seashore on it, but the island was so poorly balanced, that when I went to one side of it, it tipped over, and all the tidepools eptied into the sky...

A sphynx (one of them hairless cats) that changes skin like a octopus or a cuttlefish, call it a cuttlecat.

I know and the funny thing is that I thought of it a time after watching the Primeval episode with that camouflaging creature and I didn't een think about it when I thought up of the cuttlecat.

still a good idea though, perhaps as a genetic experiment, as I'm not sure if a mammal would be able to evolve such radical skin adaptations without taking many millions of years.

I'm thinking genetic engineering is more like it.
